I never thought in my life that we would be living these days. I was born in the late 70’s and I grew up watching movies about what the future be like and it was all about technology and flying trains and super fast planes and talking to a car via a square black watch and aliens travelling in high speed UFO’S covered in LED lights. That was supposed to be the future. I never thought that in 2020 we would be fighting two deadly viruses, COVID-19 and Racism.
Racism…really?
Haven’t we realised yet that we are all one and the same? How hard is it to comprehend!
It seems that we ran like Usain Bolt to get to space and walk on the moon but we forgot to learn how to walk amongst us. We took a small step on the moon but we took an even smaller step towards humanity.
The frustration is genuine, and it has been for a very long time my friends, too long and we seem to be circling around and around the same subject. We put so much effort to go forward, everybody is trying to change from within, trying to educate the children and themselves, make the world a better place only to discover that the message has not reached everybody.
Let us hope that we will be able to sustain the momentum in order to keep the conversation going.
Yes, we need change and we need to do it responsibly but most of all we need to do it peacefully!
